Hey Runners,
It’s certainly been a very emotional week for not only the running community but society at large in the wake of the horrific Boston Marathon bombings, and the subsequent events in capturing and arresting the remaining suspects. It was amazing though to see the running community band together and take part in what was considered one of the best London Marathons ever, if not the most memorable of all time.
People who run are resilient, and for the most part fall, and get back up again, and this is what has transpired over the last couple of weeks. Granted, security was at an all time high for London, so in fact participants probably felt safer at the London Marathon than almost anywhere else in the world. Still though……there must have been some heart in the mouth stuff for many…if not every single runner and wheeler who crossed the finish line!
Onwards and upwards we say….you wont keep us down. Just take a look below at the plethora of events that took place around the globe this past week, and the amazing races coming up……symbolising how strong this sport really is, and what it means to simply…..run!
