This years Combe Gibbet to Overton 16 mile cross country race produced the closest ever finish with the local clubs James Knight outsprinting Matt Davenport to take the title by just one second. Graham Bungay from Totton RC worked his way through the field to take an excellent third place. The ladies competition was won by the impressive Tamsin Neale from Burnham Joggers with Alicia Hickey from Maidenhead taking the runners up spot. But perhaps the run of the day came from Karen Hathaway who ran from the finish to the start before the race began and then proceeded to take third place in the ladies race, covering 32 miles, a monumental effort.
