“New course record set by Mohamed Aburezeq of Altrincham & District AC in 32.28, taking 17 seconds off the previous best set in 1997, a full 3 mins ahead of second placed Kevin Ogden of Spenborough AC.
“Stadium Runners (of Huddersfield) easily took the male team prize with 17 points, having 3 places in first 9 finishers. Holmfirth harriers (426 point) take the ladies team prize.
“515 finishers, on a hilly but scenic course, with plenty runners expressing their delight with this year’s race.”
